Where ClubRunner and DACdb beat us
Both have served Rotary for a long time and both do things we don't. This page says which things first, because a comparison where the other side never wins isn't a comparison.
ClubRunner

Where ClubRunner is better than us
- Free-form website layout and file hosting. Ours is built from fixed section types, which is why a club can't make a page that looks wrong — but a club with someone who wants pixel control will find ours restrictive.
- More elaborate event ticketing — recurring events, promo codes, and per-event custom pages. Ours covers ticket types, capacity, waitlists and a door list, and stops there.
- A deeper folder tree in the document library. Ours is one level with per-document visibility, which suits a club with forty documents and would not suit an archive.
- Longer track record with Rotary International data integration.
- Used by roughly 4,000 clubs, so most Rotarians have seen it before.
DACdb
typically $50/mo — we've seen $25–$90
Usually purchased at district level and passed down to clubs.
Where DACdb is better than us
- Deep district-level administrative features built up over many years.
- Direct Rotary International data synchronisation.
- Often already paid for by the district, which makes it free to the club.
Where we're better
- We tell you which members are drifting and why, with the evidence attached, every week. Neither of them does this.
- Guest follow-up is tracked from the first visit, so a visitor who came once doesn't quietly become nobody's job.
- Roles expire on the date the term ends, so the July handover doesn't leave last year's board holding the keys.
- Email, forms, dues and volunteer signups are included rather than bought separately.
What a club usually pays altogether
Most clubs don't pay for one tool. They pay for club software, then an email tool, then a form builder, then something to collect dues. Here's a typical mid-sized club:

These are typical figures, not a quote. Incumbent pricing varies by club size and district agreement — put in what you actually pay for a real comparison.
Tools a club commonly buys alongside its club software: email marketing tool, form builder, dues collection tool, volunteer signup tool. All four are included in Club Standard.
If your district already pays for DACdb, your club's marginal cost for it is nothing, and no honest comparison beats free. In that case the question isn't price — it's whether the retention side is worth $59 a month to you.
